In my never ending quest to give my game as many draw calls as possible as many custom locations as possible, I made some patches for Watchman's Whiterun Hold - Secondary Locations and now I am sharing them with you.


There is a fixes plugin that is auto installed with the FOMOD. This plugin fixes a clipping object and navmesh issues.


IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ADD THESE PATCHES TO A NEW GAME. To quote robertgk2017 "Modding is illegal post character start." You might be able to get away with it if you haven't entered the cell yet but this is neither recommended nor supported.


These patches require BEES to function properly on older game versions.


PATCHES


Bent Pines II - Moves the giant tree (this tree is so big) so it is no longer inside of one of Watchman's buildings and puts a navcut box around it so NPCs won't walk into it. In the event you are using the Bent Pines Navmesh patch, the Watchmans_SecondaryLocations.esp needs to load after it.


Cutting Room Floor - Ensures navmeshes and landscapes work correctly between these two mods. In the event you are using both Cutting Room Floor as well as Northern Roads, you need both patches off this page in addition to the NR + CRF patch in addition to the Northern Roads - Cutting Room Floor patch from the Northern Roads Patch Collection.


Fabled Forests - moves and disables trees in order to prevent clipping.


Landscape Fixes For Grass Mods - forwards landscape records so that Watchman's landscapes win. If you can load LFFGM before Watchman's plugin you do not need this patch.


Legacy of the Dragonborn - Moves a note so it doesn't fall on the floor, moves a treasure so that it is accessible and forwards persistence to a corpse. Requires a new game.


NordWarUA's Vanilla Armor Replacers SSE - Ensures that the VAR shields do not clip through the ground at Gjunkar's Monument.


Northern Roads - Ensures navmeshes and landscapes work correctly between these two mods.


Skyrim Cut Content Restoration - Ensures navmeshed and landscapes work correctly between these two mods. The Northern Roads combo patch requires the Cut Content Restoration patch from the Northern Roads Patch Collection as well as the Northern Roads patch on this page. The two FOMODs should take care of that automatically. All Cut Content Restoration plugins on this page were made by MissileMann. Go check their stuff out!


RedBag's Rorikstead - Barley Dark Farm Addon - Patches Navmesh and landscape for both mods to work together! The Northern Roads combo patch requires the RBR Barley Dark Farm patch for Northern Roads from the same page, as well as the one from here. Both patches require the respective Skyrim Cut Content Restoration patches for the base patch and NR combo Patch. Patch was made by MissileMann who is like so cool and epic. He is way cooler than me tbh. This is totally NOT missile typing this. (imagine not capitalizing your own name. Couldn't be Missile)


Wind Ruler Armor - moves a chest to an accessible position. This patch is for the .esl version. If there is a desire I can throw a patch together for the .esp version. This patch was built against Xtudo's fixes on the Wind Ruler Armor page.


FAQ


Q:Do these patches work with my game version?

A:As long as you use BEES you should be fine.


Q:Wow these patches sure look complicated to do how did you make them?

A:Truthfully it's not that complicated. It took me like an hour to learn the like an hour to learn the CK and to be honest you should already know how to use SSEedit. Janquel's guide is an invaluable resource and without it I wouldn't have known where to even start. If I can do it you can too!


Q:Do you take patch requests?

A:My primary reason for making patches is personal use but if I can make the patch quickly I'll consider it.


Q:You haven't had any recent activity on Nexus and I need to get a hold of you, how can I do that?

A:@ChickenMike in either Ryn, or Janquel's discords and I should see it. I'm also in a bunch of other discords, but I check those two the most regularly.


Q:Why are you missing so many screenshots?

A:I'm lazy and taking screenshots is super tedious and I hate it.
