X-Tech wasn't added to the leveled lists in Shattered Space. This plugin adds them.


IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU INSTALL THIS PLUGIN ON A NEW GAME. To quote robertgk2017 "Modding is illegal post character start (or in Starfield's case a unity jump" You might be able to get away with it if you haven't entered the Va'ruun Kai yet but this is neither recommended nor supported.


FAQ


Q: I put this on a game in progress and it didn't work. Elp

A: Go wait 24 local hours on Venus for the inventories to reset, but your best bet is going through the Unity or starting a new save.


Q:Why does your thumbnails look like you made it in PowerPoint?

A: Because I made it in Google Slides. This is the highest effort thumbnail I've ever made.


Q: Do you take requests?

A: My primary reason for making tweaks like these is personal use but if I can make it quickly or you can convince me I need it for myself, I'll consider it.


Q: You haven't had any recent activity on Nexus and I need to get a hold of you, how can I do that?

A: @ChickenMike in either Ryn, or Janquel's discords and I should see it. I'm also in a bunch of other discords, but I check those two the most regularly.


Q: In your last mod you said modding starfield is annoying. Why did you make this?

A: The issue was annoying me to much. Also Creation Kit Platform Extended for Starfield exists now so its much less annoying.


Q: Why didn't you give us the .esp?

A: Because Creation Kit Platform Extended for Starfield can edit .ESMs now so no .ESP exists.


Q: Why didn't Bethesda fix this themselves?

A: Bethesda, in their infinite wisdom, decided to add most of the stuff from the Free Lanes update into a separate plugin (SFBGS00D.esm) instead of merging it into the main Starfield.esm. Therefore, in order for X-tech to be in the loot pools added by ShatteredSpace.esm, the SFBGS00D.esm would have to be added to ShatteredSpace.esm as a master. If they did that, they would potentially brick saves because it would move the FormIDs (eg. Shattered Space FormIDs would start with an 02 now instead of an 01). This would have been entirely avoidable if they had merged all the new stuff into the Starfield.esm but here we are.
