Ivy Snowy Windhelm Walkway
I always loved the exterior section of Capital Windhelm Expansion, especially since all the changes it adds are lore-friendly and inspired by Skyrim’s concept art, but Capital Windhelm Expansion has its fair share of issues, from the black screen bug (I know there’s a fix, but it’s not a definitive one since you can still get the black screen even with it) to really poor performance. So this mod takes some of the parts I really love from Capital Windhelm and ports them over without completely killing performance.
Features:
- Walkway Stairs to Docks: Inspired by Capital Windhelm and Windhelm’s walkway. Fully and properly navmeshed while preserving vanilla nav links, so there’s no need for patches with JK’s Outskirts or anything that touches the main road.
- Frozen Water Wheel: Looks great and also includes occlusion planes for better performance.
- Custom Optimized Meshes: I used my own custom optimized meshes, so the performance impact is next to none.
- Custom Occlusion planes: Mod has built-in Occlusion planes.

FAQ:
Q: What’s the difference between Windhelm Walkway and this mod?
A: Windhelm Walkway used Solitude meshes, and if you had any non-vanilla textures, they stood out a lot. It also included some clutter that didn’t really make sense for Skyrim. Lastly, it had deleted navmesh data, which makes patching a nightmare and can even cause CTDs.
Q: Is the mod ESL Flagged?
A: Yes.
