Description
Pressure of Battle is a lightweight mod that adds a new level of immersion and difficulty to the game changing how the player interacts with items during combat. Fully customizable via MCM, equipping or using food, potions, weapons, and armor while in combat is restricted. Specifically, the player will only have enough time to be able to consume one food item, potion, or equip only 1 weapon or piece of armor at a time in a menu during combat. This results in more battle intensity and urgency. Combat becomes something the player prepares for in advance rather than pauses to manage through menus. Otherwise the player will need to leverage restoration magic in a pinch to survive the interaction.

Whats Included
This mod includes the following features:
- Full MCM Customization: The player can select if food, potions, weapons, and/or armor are restricted during combat
- Combat Menu Restrictions: When a restricted item is selected during combat the player will be forced out of the menu.
- Immersive Messages: Once forced out of the menu a immersive message will display detailing your lack of time to equip more.
- Poison and Toxic Effects: Poisons and food toxins will always affect the player regardless of settings.
- Hardcore Mode: Hardcore Mode removes the magical benefits of food and/or potions during combat. Attempting to consume restricted items will exit the menu and display a unique lore-friendly message explaining that the body cannot absorb magical properties during combat.
*Additional Details:
- During combat the player will only have enough time to be able to consume one food item, potion, or equip only 1 weapon or piece of armor at a time in a menu. However the hotkeys, and the favorites menu is not impacted by this limitation. This is to ensure users who use mods like animated eating or drinking can use those mods paired with mine without issue for a seamless immersive experience.
- Hardcore mode also respects the settings selected in the MCM. Therefore the user can select Hardcore mode and only select food or potions as their hardcore option.
Compatibility
-The core features of this mod are compatible with every mod on Nexus.
-That stated Skysouls Unpaused Menus is clearly also compatible.
-Specifically concerning hardcore mode, only a change to the load order is required in rare circumstances. That stated, simply place Pressure of Battle after mods that alter alchemy or food magic effects.
Required Files and Installation
-Only Skyrim is Required (Any Version - VR, SE, AE, 1.5.9.7, latest version doesn't matter)
-Mod can be installed on an existing game or new game
