The guards across the cities of Cyrodiil seem to all share the same armory, adorning the same chainmail armor and cast of weapons no matter where you go. Guards Revised amends this by shaking up the weapons and armors across all of the games guards. The signature shield and cuirass for all of the cities has been retained so that their iconography shines through, and they've been bolstered with new sets of gear that match both their surroundings, and functions. Castle guards wield 2 handed weapons, jailers are armed with daggers, and guardsmen with swords, axes, and shields. Every city will have guards that now look visually distinct from one another. See more about the changes below.

anvil

Anvil is a wealthy and bustling port city with plenty of traffic and trade from the Abeccan Sea. As such, the cities guards are well armored in steel, wielding a variety of blades made from the same metal. While Anvils guards may not be as plentiful as other cities across Cyrodiil, they are a force to be reckoned with.

bravil

Bravils muddy streets and rustic wooden architecture are reflective of the cities poor financial state, however the arrogant count needs guards equipped to protect an unfavorable ruler. By no means is iron gear the best option, but the cheap plate and blades get the job done for a city in unrest.

bruma

Cold and harsh are the Jerall mountains where Bruma is nestled. Bordering Skyrim and seeing the most snow in all of Cyrodiil, Brumas guards drape themselves in furs to keep warm, and much like their Nordic neighbours, favor iron axes in the heat of battle.

cheydinhal

Extravagant and generally peaceful, Cheydinhal hardly sees a need for lethal force. It's guards are plentiful but adorn simple and effective leathers, equipped with a variety of blunt steel weaponry that is aimed at subduing criminals rather than outright killing them.

chorrol

Situated in the forests and close to the Imperial City, Chorrol is as mighty as it is tranquil. Much like the sturdy oak tree in town square, the cities guards are formidable as they boast light metals and leathers. With unique iron helmets, and steel axes worthy of felling trees, Chorrols guards may look easily dealt with but are ready for a fight.

kvatch

Located in the highlands of the gold coast, the once bastion Kvatch has fallen to the attacks of Daedra. What guards remain have taken up whatever iron arms they could scrounge from the battlefield, still wearing their cities crest proudly along with wild furs and linen hoods to shield from the ash and rain.

leyawiin

Far south of the Imperial City, Leyawiin sits in a wet and humid swamp sandwiched between the Black Marsh and Elsweyr. A modest city, the ranger-like city watch is prepared to battle both criminals, and the misty, rainy climate of the region. Wearing lightweight gear such as hoods, linenes, and leathers while arming themselves with short blades means being light on their feet and quick to the draw.

skingrad

Rich and gothic are the streets of Skingrad, with houses piled onto eachother creating dark brooding streets and walls so high that no man or mer could scale them. The only thing more intimidating is castle overlooking the city. Skingrads guards are plentiful and stern, protected by cold, tough chainmail and armed to the teeth with iron blades. Skingrads guards are the definition of strength in numbers, numbers which are needed in a city as shady as it is wealthy.

This should be compatible with most mods, however if you plan on using this in a large load order, ensure it is loaded towards the bottom as other mods may override guard actor records.
