Sperm Whales (Animal Series) Mod

The Sperm Whale (or Cachalot) is the largest of the toothed whales and the greatest living predator of its kind, capable of reaching lengths of up to 67 feet and weights nearing 65 short tons (130,000 lbs). It is the sole living member of the genus Physeter, closely related to its smaller kin, the pygmy sperm whale and dwarf sperm whale of the genus Kogia.

In Skyrim, these leviathans can be found patrolling the northern coasts and occasionally the seas surrounding Solstheim.

Normally, sperm whales are non-aggressive, choosing to ignore adventurers unless provoked.

This mod features:
Custom sounds and unique loot.
Adjusted combat mechanics due to game engine limitations:
The bounding box cannot fully match the size of a creature this massive.
To account for this, the skeleton was shifted so the whale’s head is inside the hitbox—meaning you’ll need to strike the head to inflict damage.
This keeps combat practical, since most encounters will occur from the front anyway.

Recommended Mods:
Character Behaviors Enhanced → allows underwater combat, making whale encounters far more immersive.
A clear water mod → improves visibility so you’re not battling massive beasts in murky darkness.

Warning:
Sperm whales hit incredibly hard in water. Come prepared with proper gear—or fight from a distance with bows or crossbows if you’d rather not risk a close encounter.
