Ground Sloths are colossal herbivores, armed with dagger-sized claws that serve them in foraging, digging, and defense. They thrive across a wide range of environments—from the warm savannas of Elsweyr and the dense forests of Valenwood, to the alien landscapes of Morrowind and the frigid wilderness of Skyrim.
The Skyrim-native Ground Sloths are said to rival mammoths in size, though they prefer forested and lightly wooded regions where they avoid direct competition with their tusked neighbors. Despite their lumbering pace and seemingly docile nature, Ground Sloths are far from harmless. Possessing the arm strength of several trolls, a single swipe from their claws can prove fatal to even seasoned warriors.
Few who have faced one in battle live to tell the tale—those who do often recall the unnerving sound that accompanies their fury: the sonorous war cry… of one very, very angry sloth.
