Coelacanths are elusive, ancient fish believed to date back to the Dawn Era. For centuries, scholars only knew of them through fossil records, declaring them long extinct. Yet in recent times, living specimens have been discovered in the oceans around Morrowind, with populations gradually spreading northward into Solstheim and the frigid waters of northeastern Skyrim.
