Gameplay

Respec your character/companion/hireling whenever you want with the Respec spell. (Open change class menu)

Usage

RespecSpell

  1. Sneak/hide to have the spell Respec appear in your hotbar.
  2. Click on it to activate it.
  3. Click again to confirm and enter the character respec screen.
  4. When you're done respecing or if you disabled sneaking/hiding the spell is going to get removed from your hotbar. It's something like a toggle. Toggling between sneaking and normal movement toggles the spell's visibility in the hotbar on/off.

RespecSpell Spellbook

Same functionality as RespecSpell but sneaking with a character adds the spell to their spellbook instead of having to toggle it on/off.

Installation

  1. Backup your save files before using. No issues as of now but it's always best to backup your save with each new mod you're using.
  2. Download BG3Mo dManager.
  3. Download and install Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender.
  4. Download the mod. You should get a .zip file.
  5. Drag and drop the .zip file in BG3ModManager.
  6. Move the mod up and down in your Load Order. I had to do that in order for it to appear in modsettings.lsx.
  7. Load Order shouldn't matter.
  8. Click the save icon in the Mod Manager ("Save Load Order to file").
  9. Make sure that the mod was included in your modsettings.lsx file. You should have these lines in it if you did everything correctly:

After installing the mod and launching the game you need to make sure that the mod is enabled in the game's mod menu.

Notes

Working fine for player characters, companions and hirelings.

Can't respec if you're an Oathbreaker. Need to reclaim your oath first. You can use my mod Reclaim or break your oath spells (Paladin) for easy oaths.

Credits

Credits to Eralyne and their mod Appearance Edit since their code helped immensely.
