Cold Trader Origin

This mod expands upon Jae’s Cold Trader origin, making it a fully fleshed-out option for player characters. It includes a unique class ability, five talents, and custom stat and skill modifiers to bring the archetype in line with the game’s other origins.

Class Ability

Cold Trader’s Acumen – Grants faction-based buffs that scale with your reputation among the trade houses.

Talents
The Cold Trader keeps the original talents and adds three new ones to highlight their mastery of Skills, Fellowship, and Perception:

Gunslinger – Reduces the cost of second weapon attacks while dual wielding.

Never Play Fair – Use Fellowship in place of Intelligence for skill checks.

Cold Confidence – Use Fellowship instead of Willpower.

Closer – Improves armor penetration against weakened opponents.

Watch Your Back – Use Perception in place of Agility for dodge.

Triumphs and Darkest Hours have been rewritten with original text, replacing the reused Crime Lord entries.

Fixes
This mod also corrects the bug where Cold Trader’s Acumen failed to apply its Coercion bonus. (Do not combine with other mods that patch this issue, as the effect will stack.)

Note: This mod does not alter Jae’s own abilities or progression — only those of the Rogue Trader or mercenary companions.
