Note: The desperate version of Triage is not functioning as intended; for now, it mirrors the heroic version. The Medicae can now select Overseer with servoskulls at tier 2.
Lives are spent freely on the battlefields of the Imperium, but never wasted. A soldier who can rise again to wield their lasgun is far more valuable than one left bleeding in the mud. The Medicae ensures this grim arithmetic remains in the Imperium’s favor, tending to injuries and returning warriors to the line.
The Medicae is a new tier 1 archetype for Rogue Traders and companions. With unique active abilities, talents, and a servoskull-based pet mechanic, it introduces a dedicated battlefield support role — including the ability to revive fallen allies mid-combat.
Active Abilities
Battlefield Medicine – Heal an adjacent ally for (Medicae/4)+(Medicae/10) wounds. Removes bleeding, burning, toxin, and one fresh injury.
Resuscitate – Revive an adjacent downed ally with 10% of their maximum wounds.
Apothecarion Servoskull – Heal any ally within 6 cells for (Medicae/4)+(Tech Use/10) wounds.
To the Rescue – Move up to 3 + Resolve cells. Ends movement for the turn.
Medevac – Pull an ally up to 6 cells away into the nearest adjacent space.
Combat Drugs – Buff target with +20% of Medicae to Strength, Toughness, and Agility for 2 turns.
The Emperor’s Peace – Deliver a killing blow to an adjacent incapacitated enemy.
Momentum Ability: Triage
Base – Heal all allies for 50% of their maximum wounds.
Desperate – (Currently same as base) Heals allies for 50%, but should also deal 50% of Medicae’s wounds to self.
Upgrade 1 – Allies are fully healed.
Upgrade 2 – Allies are immune to fatal wounds for 1 turn.
Upgrade 3 – Removes burning, bleeding, and toxin.
Upgrade 4 – Grants +10% Medicae skill for the rest of combat.
Talents
Well-Stocked – 50% chance not to consume medikit charges.
Diagnosticar – Battlefield Medicine heals +5% per Medicae dot on target.
Anatomist – Gain Medicae/5% crit chance with chain and needle weapons.
Amputate – Chain weapon melee hits cause bleeding equal to Carouse/15.
Bonesaw – Chain weapon damage bonus scales with Carouse instead of Strength.
Precocious Servoskull – Apothecarion Servoskull range increases to 10 cells.
Stay Low – Using To the Rescue makes Medicae lowest-priority target for 1 turn.
Reanimator – Resuscitate restores an extra 10% of Medicae skill as wounds.
Overmedicate – Battlefield Medicine also grants Medicae/10 temporary wounds.
Inoculate – Combat Drugs also grant +10 to all resistances for 2 turns.
Chiurgeon – Battlefield Medicine has a chance to clear 1 trauma.
Bad Medicine – Needle weapon hits apply toxin stacks equal to 10% Medicae skill.
Synskin Grafter – Battlefield Medicine grants target +5% armor for the rest of combat.
First Responder – Add Perception bonus to initiative.
Help is on the Way – To the Rescue no longer provokes attacks of opportunity.
Now or Never – +10% Medicae skill when momentum <50.
Combat Veteran – Gain Resolve equal to number of Medicae abilities known.
Tier 2 Options
Assassin
Executioner
Master Tactician
Overseer (with servoskulls)

Instructions
You will need to install MicroPatches version 1.17.6+ for this mod to work.
unzip the folder into C:\Users\Me\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader\Modifications
Once the folder is there, you may need to edit your OwlcatModificationManagerSettings.json file. This is one level up from the mod's folder. It needs to look something like:
{"$id":"1","SourceDirectories":[],"EnabledModifications":["jhMedicae"],"ActiveModifications":["jhMedicae"],"DisabledModifications":[]}
You will need to add the two entries for jhMedicae following the format above. Once this file is edited you can start your game and you should see the mod in the in-game mod tool (not the built in Unity Mod Manager)
