The Heart's Toll
Introduction:
- The Heart's Toll is a small to medium sized quest mod centred around Tia, a former basket weaver who is now forced to search for a cure to her brothers mysterious ailment. Joining her in this search and you'll explore the love she holds for her brother, alongside the lengths she would go through to ensure his survival. Featuring my most emotionally charged dialogue to date, I can confidently say The Heart's Toll is one of my best projects that I've ever produced.
Features:
- Unique idea. Tia's desperate bid to find a cure to her brother's illness isn't an uncommon trope, though by delving into one of Skyrim's most overlooked mechanics and using it as a central device, I believe The Heart's Toll stands out from many other quest mods. And as mentioned above, I believe this is truly one of my best written quests, something I likely won't surpass for a long time.
- Fully voiced. Boasting over 150+ lines of incredibly emotional dialogue, the voice acting in this mod is done by two veterans of the modding scene, Elizabeth Plant and MeekVoice. I can say without a doubt both actors put their all into their respective characters and I cannot thank them enough for their work on this project.
- Unique assets. While not attainable to the player, The Heart's Toll features many custom assets to enhance the atmosphere of the mod. The highlights being a custom armour set made by masimeiro and an incredibly crafted model by RuneSentinel. The Heart's Toll is only elevated by these beautiful models and should only further the narrative that I carefully crafted.
- Evolving location. Despite not being shown within the mod's screenshots, I took great care to make Tia's house a constantly evolving location, with new items and assets appearing as the quest progresses. I'll refrain from saying anything else to avoid spoilers but be on the look out!

- Yes, it's completely fine to install mid-game.

- Yes, I have only edited the necessary cells, there should be no conflicts due to dirty edits.
How do I start the quest?
- Venture to the location shown within the images and speak to Tia.
Can I make a patch for the mod?
- I'd love it people made patches for any incompatibilities that arise, if you could send these to me, I'll upload them onto the mod page.
Can it be ported to Xbox?
- The original porter who would do all of my mods can no longer do it. If you're up to it and agree to give credit along with including my showcases on the page, I have no problems with you porting it.
