Throw slippers at your enemies. No, really, I'm not joking. Throwable weapons in Starfield.


Part meme, part mod, and yet all fun, this one can be summarized by the following image:


Lost throughout the ages, this ancient old (yes, ancient and old) Earth forbidden weapon is finally found, just right before the arrival of the Terran Armada. And now we only have a week to learn how to harness it.


This weapon is so strong it inflicts EM damage.Not just any EM damage, EMotional damage.


So much so, that your enemies will fall down before you, in both anguish and disbelief.


This weapon was discovered to be so powerful, it is banned by the major powers. Now it has been proposed by legislation as a priority addition to the Annual Armistice Amendment this April 1, 2330.


Now, kidding aside, this mod in earnest also allows you to craft vanilla-based throwing weapons as well. Barrow knives, combat knives, rescue axes, osmium daggers, ripshanks and tanto can be converted into throwable forms via workbench. No perk requirements needed, you only need one vanilla item. For the slippers, you only need one (there are some in the Frontier iirc), but requires weapon engineering 1 to be made.


As with all my added recipes, these will only show up when you have the required crafting components to prevent further workbench congestion.


For gameplay, these throwing weapons inherit the damage, mass and value of their vanilla melee counterparts. However, to offset the time between throws, these have a higher likelihood of inflicting bleed damage. These are considered experimental and not final and will be fine tuned as more feedback is received. Initial testing shows that kills made with these weapons will count according to their damage inflicted (ballistic), so if you are grinding out your ballistics perk this might be an interesting way. So go ballistic with it! (lol)
