This mod adds a recruitable NPC who will follow you everywhere. You can purchase a follower from a merchant near Bernard's training yard outside of Rattay.
There are three tiers of followers available:
800 groschen – Basic follower
3200 groschen – Advanced follower
6400 groschen – Immortal follower (falls unconscious in battle instead of dying, but must be revived manually)
Your follower can be fully managed — you can adjust their stats and equipment, and when you mount up, your follower will also ride a horse.
Important Notes
Saving while mounted: Saving is disabled by default when your follower is on horseback for stability reasons. You can enable it in the script if desired, but it may cause issues.
Horse AI: Horse functionality is included, but can be disabled via script if you find it buggy.
Polearms: By default, the mod attempts to re-equip polearms after dismounting. If you’re using a mod that alters the polearm slot (e.g., replaces it with shields), this option may cause odd visuals.
Script Variables
Inside the script file, you can toggle these options:
preventSavingOnHorse – Prevents saving when your follower is mounted (default: ON).
useHorse – Enables or disables horse functionality.
attemptReequipPolearm – Re-equips polearms after dismount (can be disabled for compatibility with other mods).
