Overview:
If your skill level is lower than your handgun's skill level, you might accidentally fire it and hurt yourself. The weapon's firing sound will play, and your total and clip ammo count are both reduced. Your health and right leg are damaged appropriately based on your weapon's damage, your player body part damage multiplier, and the weapon's limb damage multiplier. Variable ammo use per shot is accounted for. You have to have at least one round remaining in your clip.
Chance is configurable in the ini, and a Luck based calculation is an option.
Explosives handguns will set off their projectile's explosion at your feet instead.
This can, and will, kill you if your health is low enough.
There are also optional messages to display when this occurs. These messages will range from upbeat to mocking, as your charisma gets lower.

This system will not abide the burst fire of burst firing handguns. There are too broad a variety of ways to make a weapon fire in a burst, so they'll just use whatever ammo use is set on the weapon's base entry.

The calculations make "every pellet" of your shotgun guaranteed to hit you in the leg. I don't really want to bother to do anything about that.

Someone asked about if it was possible, I said yeah, decided to write up a little example script, then I ended up making it dynamic, then I figured I might as well put it out. I don't use it, personally,
But the weapon is holstered at an angle that doesn't point toward my foot/leg?
Whatever. Don't use it if you don't like it.
Fix burst fire handguns?
No.
Other weapon types other than handguns?
Doesn't really make sense.
I don't like the fact that explosives blow me up, can you change it?
No.
I don't like that the system can kill me if my health is low!
Get good.
Make it have a chance to apply at any time, instead of only if the player's skill is too low?
