Description:
Provides a configurable speed boost while your weapon is holstered, you are outside of combat, and you are not crippled. Speed boost is separated between indoors and outdoors speed. When the speed effect is active, it can be toggled on and off via a configurable hotkey (X by default). By default, this mod provides a 50% increase to speed outside and no change inside, but this can be configured with the provided INI file. Why use this over just a regular sprint mod? Well I always found the default movement speed frustratingly slow, especially if you are playing with minimal fast traveling. JAM's sprint obviously helps with this, but I found myself frustrated with the increase in hardcore needs and AP loss for what I just viewed as an essential improvement. This mod tries to strike the balance of making traversal quicker but not unbalancing the game.
JAM Integration:
Disabled by default, the bDisableSprintOutsideCombat option in the INI file disables JAM's sprint feature while outside of combat (as it wouldn't make sense to have both this speed boost and sprint). However, while in combat JAM's sprint is re-enabled while this mod's speed boost is disabled. This still stays balanced in my opinion as you need to use your valuable AP to sprint, meaning less opportunity for VATS/bullet time. Your hardcore needs also go up at a much higher rate while sprinting.
