Life After Death (Consequences)

Life after death is a completely new way to experience Fallout that aims to add consequences to player death, save, and/or reload, thus incentivizing thoughtful play. All configurable and customisable for maximum enjoyment - how hard you punish yourself (or don't) is up to you.

From permadeath to waking up with crippled limbs, there's a tonne of variety to be had.

Features

Everything below can be enabled in isolation or in combination with each-other using the included .ini file

Permadeath

With permadeath mode, start with a specified number of lives (configurable via ini) - and opt to utilize perk points for additional lives. Complete with a character graveyard, Stats display upon death, and custom death quotes, this is an extreme way of playing!

Caps penalties

Attach a cost to dying, or even saving/reloading your game, for an experience that will hit you right in your pocket. Fully configure the amount of caps lost and the method that triggers how they are taken from you.

Reduce Xp

Attach an Xp cost to dying or saving/reloading, similar to losing caps - this one costs your time.

Needs

For hardcore players, reduce hunger, thirst, or sleep for a more punishing playthrough. All of which are independently configurable. Reduce any combination of them, all featuring custom sound effects!

Radiation

This one speaks for itself, watch those Rads tick upwards! Better pack some RadAway.

Health Damage

This one will sting, wake up with less health than you started with - I hope you brought stimpaks!

Limb-Damage

Ouch! Get the Doctor's Bag(s) ready - reload with broken limbs. Fully customise which limbs can and can't be damaged, as well as if they can be crippled or not!

Installation

Install (and uninstall) with a mod manager of your choice & customise the included .ini file to craft your playthrough.
