Better Casing Performance
(Experimental)
1. DESCRIPTION
This mod should provide better performance while using mods that increase the number of casings possible at once on the scene.
It's achived by:
- disabling collision between individual casings that weapons eject
- setting restitution to 0 (no bouncing)
- allowing higher penetration depth (this mean how much casing rigid body can penetrate other object before CPU fixes it)
- lower angular velocity (should "go to sleep" faster)
With this I managed to shoot minigun for straight minute with around 1000 casing on the ground while keeping 60 fps.
However, I decided this to be experimental since I wanted to see how it will work for other people, so I'd like to hear your opinions.
I also did some minor non-performance tweaks like reducing the size of some casings because they were way too big for some weapons (like 9mm pistol) and aligning them so they are better positioned when exiting the weapon.
This mod is NOT compatible with any other mod that changes the vanilla casing meshes.
2. INSTALLATION
Use your favorite mod manager to install it.
3. UNINSTALLATION
Same as installation, but in reverse.
