A super lightweight and vanilla-friendly overhaul of the Diamond City Security level lists. Utilizing only vanilla content, this is designed to be vanilla-friendly and minimalistic. If you're into big overhauls with plenty of new assets, this may not be the kind of mod for you.
Diamond City security in the vanilla game has a wonderful design that aesthetically fits the location they guard. Unfortunately, much of this gear isn't ever visible, or accessible because it's simply not added to level lists. First and foremost, all of the DC Security gear variations have been added to level lists and will spawn randomly. In addition to restoring the left-out armor pieces, this mod will give DC Security a chance to spawn with two variations of metal armor, metal helmets, and gray knit caps. The weapon pool has also seen an overhaul, with a security force that now uses real guns. Pipe weapons are not ideal for protecting the largest settlement in the Commonwealth, so in their place, the hunting rifle, double barrel shotgun, and .44 revolver have found a new home. This varies the range of weaponry carried by security, allowing for more variety, and making them slightly more foreboding foes should you choose to attack. Due to many of the new armor options opening up face coverings for DC Security, 4 new face variations have been added sourced from the Covenant Security faces. In the vanilla game, DC Security could only spawn in with 2 faces, however, this goes unnoticed due to them being perpetually covered.

This is specifically designed to be a direct replacement, and therefore directly edits level lists, outfit records, and sometimes NPC data. It will conflict with anything that also directly edits affected records, thoughwill be compatible with mods that use level list injection. Keep this in mind when organizing and sorting your load order.
