
Overhauls the outskirts of Megaton to include farms, homesteads, and minor structures outside of the inner towns walls. Megaton is the second biggest settlement in the Capital Wasteland, only overshadowed by the highly fortified and advanced Rivet City. Being such a central hub for the area, with a large population, active trade, and frequent visitors, it only makes sense that wastelanders would begin to settle outside of the protective walls. These settlers live a more rural, isolated life from those in the inner city. Tending to animal husbandry, crops, scrap trade, or seeking a life of increased solitude, the homestead that line the walls of Megaton are indicative of a settlement central to the wastelands economy that has room to grow in the future. This mod fully replaces navmesh for all affected cells, and is entirely functional with the "Power of Atom" quest. Yes, this means if you detonate the Megaton bomb, the outskirts will be left in ruin as well. This mod is fully funcitonal in it's current state, and has been an effort to release. There are only a few features it currently does not have that are planned to be updated into the mod in the near future.
Immersion & Lore Issues Addressed
Density
Megaton being a central settlement in the Capital Wasteland has been bolstered with additional dwellings and clutter around its border, giving an immersive and grounded scale to the area.
Economy
While already an existing trade route stop, Megatons new farmsteads and scrapyards further the depth of the settlements economic importance. While the inner city has many businesses, these outer businesses serve as rural economic points for Megaton.
Resources
A settlement as large as Megaton would have a hard time relying solely on trade for things like food, crops, and water. As such, the added farms and businesses bolster the idea that Megaton has it's own internal resources.

For now, the mod serves to add an immersive and playable backdrop to Megaton.

This mod will conflict with any mod that heavily edits the cells around megaton, or the landscape and navmesh in said cells. Should be fully compatible with quest mods, simple additions, or mods that edit the inner-megaton worldspace.
Instructions

Simply drag and drop the contents of the mod into your games "Data" folder, and activate with the mod manager of your choice. Alternatively, install directly through Mod Organizer 2.
