Improved Cinematics provides smoother and improved pre-rendered cutscenes for the game.
All versions greatly reduce banding (especially darker areas), allows for smoother videos (with ClairObscurFix mod installed), and less discontinuation with the actual gameplay quality.
Instructions
FOR ALL VERSIONS
- Open your game directory and create the folder ~mods (Sandfall/Content/Paks/~mods)
- Unzip the downloaded .pak files inside the newly created directory
- For 60 fps to be visible, you must install the mod "ClairObscurFix"
1440p AND 4K VERSIONS ALSO REQUIRES
- [OPTIONAL] If you have other ue4ss mods installed, you can extract just "FixCutscenes" and enable it in mods.txt with a newline "FixCutscenes : 1". If you don't use the next step.
- Download "FixCutscenes" and extract it inside the root of the game folder (where Sandfall is)
- [4K] You are good to go, the config defaults to 4k!
- [1440p] Edit the config file (Sandfall\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\FixCutscenes\scripts\config.lua) and change resolution to "4k"
- [ULTRAWIDE] If you have an ultrawide monitor change the config file (same as previous step) and change ultrawide to "true"
