How to Install Mods for Stardew Valley

STEP BY STEP

1. 01
   Install SMAPI

   SMAPI is the mod loader that lets the magic happen. Go to smapi.io, download it, run the installer, and follow its simple instructions.

   Set Steam to launch the game through SMAPI

   Go to Steam > Library > right-click Stardew Valley > Properties. In the Launch Options box, paste the path SMAPI gives you after install. Make sure it is the full text in the box.

   Download the mods you want

   Browse GGMods and grab the mods you want. Find something you like, hit download, and be sure to unzip the folder.

   Open your game files

   Steam > Library > right-click Stardew Valley > Manage > Browse local files.

   Drop the mod into the Mods folder

   Open the Mods folder, drag and drop your extracted mod, and you are ready to play. If anything breaks, check the SMAPI window. It will usually tell you exactly what is wrong.
