Blade of Sorrow
This mod introduces the sword of the legendary Nord warrior, Gramir the Grieving, into the game.

The weapon exists in two variations—a one-handed blade and a two-handed greatsword—each symbolizing different stages of Gramir’s tragic journey. Both can be discovered in dungeons or crafted at the forge. In total, there are four swords (two one-handed and two two-handed, each with an enchanted version).

Origins of the Blade
Forged by Gramir the Grieving, a Nord warrior who lost his family to the Thalmor during the Great War, the Blade of Sorrow was born from anguish and vengeance. Gathering scraps of broken weapons from the battlefield, Gramir hammered them into steel while pouring his grief into every strike. The result was a weapon that embodied his pain and his unrelenting quest for revenge.
  • One-Handed Version: Tear of Vengeance
    • A lighter, faster blade forged in the early days of Gramir’s journey.
    • Grip: Intricately carved for precision and speed.
    • Crossguard: Shaped like fractured wings, symbolizing broken dreams.
    • Engraving: Near the hilt, marking Gramir’s first steps toward vengeance.
    • Enchanted Variant: Inflicts Frost Damage, representing the cold sorrow within Gramir’s heart.
    • Said to carry a sense of loss, causing wielders to feel echoes of Gramir’s grief.

  • Two-Handed Version: The Sorrow of Gramir
    • A massive, forceful weapon forged later, when Gramir began confronting enemies directly.
    • Extended Grip: Designed for two-handed strikes, unleashing devastating power.
    • Wider Crossguard: Jagged, wing-like shapes reflecting his deepening sorrow and rage.
    • Deeper Engraving: A stronger mark of Gramir’s burden, heavier both in form and spirit.
    • Enchanted Variant: Grants Health Absorb, draining enemies’ vitality much like sorrow drains the soul.
    • Legends say the blade grows “heavier” in battle—not in weight, but in the toll of grief it channels through its wielder.

How to Obtain
  • Crafting: Both versions (with or without enchantments) can be created at the forge once requirements are met.
  • Dungeon Locations: The enchanted versions can also be found in chests within Ironbind Barrow and Saarthal.
