BnP meets Tempered: The Best of Both Worlds

Why choose between smooth detail and rugged realism? I’ve always loved the high-fidelity base of BnP Male Skins, but for my characters, I felt they sometimes lacked that weather-beaten, "lived-in" grit that makes a Nord look like they’ve actually survived a blizzard. On the other hand, Tempered Skins has always been the gold standard for that raw, masculine texture.

I decided to bridge the gap. By meticulously combining the BnP Male Skin textures with the legendary rough normal maps from Tempered Skins, I’ve created a look that offers incredible clarity without sacrificing the ruggedness of the North.

What this mod offers:

1. The BnP Foundation: Benefit from the high-resolution diffuse maps and detailed skin tones of BnP.
2. The Tempered Edge: Experience the pores, scars, and "rough" facial definition provided by Tempered Skin's normal maps.
3. Seamless Integration: No more choosing between "pretty" and "gritty"—now you have both.

Available Flavors:

To help you achieve the perfect look for your NPCs, I’ve provided three distinct versions of the face normal maps:

1. Tempered/BnP for SAM, SOSAM: Tailored specifically for users of the SAM or SOSAM body systems.
2. Tempered/BnP Older Textures for Vanilla, SOS, HIMBO, and The New Gentleman: For those who want more pronounced wrinkles, grit, and the weathered look of a true Skyrim veteran.
3. Tempered/BnP Younger Texturesfor Vanilla, SOS, HIMBO, and The New Gentleman: A smoother, cleaner finish while still retaining that essential "Tempered" definition.

Installation & Requirements:

Since this mod specifically replaces the face normal maps to give you that rugged "Tempered" edge, the base textures are still required:

1. Requirement: BnP - Male Skin (Must be installed first).
2. Load Order: Ensure this mod loads AFTER BnP - Male Skin so it can correctly overwrite the face normals.
3. Overwrite: If prompted by your mod manager (MO2/Vortex), allow this mod to overwrite BnP.
