During the Flower Dance, see which NPCs you can ask to dance (or will say yes if you set that config) by hovering over them and seeing the small pink and yellow flower that appears next to the dialogue icon. If the NPC has nothing else to say other than the question prompt (i.e. you have seen all their festival dialogue) then the little flower will bounce up and down in time with the beat of the festival music (or at least it should be close).
How to install:
- Install the latest version of SMAPI https://smapi.io
- Download this mod and unzip it into Stardew Valley/Mods
- Run the game using SMAPI.
If you need additional help installing the mod, the Stardew Valley wiki https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Getting_Started has more detailed instructions.
To uninstall the mod, delete this mod's folder from your Stardew Valley/Mods folder.
Note: the mod can be installed (or removed) at any time.
Configuration
I recommend using Generic Mod Config Menu to set your configuration options, or you can edit the config.json that generates after you run the game with the mod installed.
IndicatorCondition: whether the flower indicator appearing means you can ask the NPC to dance (CanAsk) which is the default or whether they actually will dance with you today when you ask (WillDance) based on your friendship points.
Compatibility
The mod's functionality should work with any vanilla or modded NPC. The mod is somewhat tested in multiplayer and should work correctly for any player (but let me know if it does not). The mod is designed to work in Stardew 1.6.15+ for desktop to reflect the experience of a player (and is designed to be forward compatible if the FlowerDanceCanDance fix means something to you). Android is untested.
If another mod changes the conditions that the game checks for whether NPCs can dance with the player in an unexpected way, this mod may not accurately reflect that change.
Translations
If you would like to translate a mod, please read through my i18n files and then you may let me know about your interest and which language so I can put you in touch with anyone else also working on it. You may upload the i18n files for your translation, but do not include the rest of the mod's code or content files - mark my mod as a dependency of yours. You may also share the translation files with me for me to include in my mod with the next update, whenever that may be.
Any translations of my mods must be done manually. You may not use machine translations. You may not use tools that use generative AI to generate text for your translation. Any mods that violate these terms will be reported for removal.
