Instructions
1. Install the latest version of SMAPI .
2. Install the latest version of Content Patcher .
3. Extract into your \Stardew Valley\Mods\ folder.
4. Run the game through SMAPI to generate a config.json, then close.
5. Open the config.json with a program like Notepad and use the images in the References folder to change each companion to the sprite you prefer. If you can't get a config.json to generate, you can rename the example_config.json to config.json and use it instead. All replacements can be disabled with the value "false"
6. Run the game using SMAPI to play with your new companions!
There are instructions in the images in the References folder, but do note that the appearance of fairies is fixed per save/farm and can't be changed by the anvil. You just need to find which fairy you have on your save, and change the config for that specific fairy! I recommend using GMCM for easy config changes in-game.
