What This Mod Does

This mod adds 3 new ivy variants of pine trees from Fabled Forests for more realism and wild vibes. Models are randomly distributed in-game using the Base Object Swapper framework. Choose a swap frequency at install time via the included FOMOD.

Swap Frequency Options

1. 30%: Low frequency, 70% vanilla, 10% per ivy variant. Most trees stay unmodified. Ivy trees appear occasionally for a subtle touch.
2. 50%: Medium frequency, 50% vanilla, ~16.7% per ivy variant. A balanced split between vanilla and ivy-covered trees.
3. 70%: High frequency, 30% vanilla, ~23.3% per ivy variant. Most trees are ivy-covered for a dense, overgrown wilderness feel.

Ivy Intensity Variants

Using ivy meshes by BlubboDE, three distinct ivy densities were created for all 10 supported tree models:

🌿🌿Medium Ivy: 1 208 triangles · 2 groups

🌿🌿🌿Heavy Ivy: 1 812 triangles · 3 groups

Technical Details

Integrated into an ESL-flagged plugin: no Load Order slot used. Load order agnostic, place it anywhere.

Uses Base Object Swapper, so it does not conflict with any mod. No patches required.

Each ivy group adds only 604 triangles. Light adds 1 group, medium 2, heavy 3. Performance impact should be negligible.

Fabled Forests must be installed.

Known Limitations

Ivy models are currently identical across all tree types, per-tree variation is planned.

Ivy is not yet animated, wind animation is in development.

Minor clipping through tree trunks may occur. A rework of ivy models to fix this is planned for an upcoming version.

Installation

Make sure Fabled Forests is installed first. Then download and install this mod like any regular mod. A FOMOD is included to let you choose your preferred swap frequency. Place it anywhere in your Load Order.
