The main menu music in Fallout New Vegas only respects the Master volume slider or its own ini setting, ignoring the Music volume setting. This plugin fixes that.
Installation
Drop MainMenuMusicVolumeFix.dll into Data\NVSE\Plugins\ or use a mod manager like a sane person.
Technical Details
The game has a dedicated fMainMenuMusicVolume INI setting that's hardcoded to only use Master volume. This plugin patches the game code to use the standard fDefaultMusicVolume setting instead, which properly respects the Music volume slider.
NOTE: technically the volume isn't "broken" at all and you can edit it via your fallout ini files - but there's no actual way to do that via the in-game interface.
Why do you keep making these boring and useless mods?
When testing, you really notice this. And hearing that main intro music play for the 99999th time was doing my head in, same as the console log or toggling god mode on. It also helps me learn engine modding.
