Goliath Groupers are massive predatory fish, among the largest of all grouper species, capable of reaching weights of up to 800 pounds. While they are typically found in warmer seas, some have adapted to the cold saltwaters of Skyrim and can be encountered along its coasts as well as around Solstheim.
Fishermen prize these fish for their abundant meat, though they are far rarer than tuna and considerably more expensive—so much so that only nobles and kings can afford to enjoy grouper as a regular delicacy.
Goliath Groupers appear in five distinct variants, each yielding unique scales with differing alchemical properties.
