Oviraptors are small, bird-like theropods found across many provinces of Tamriel, including Skyrim, where their remarkable adaptability allows them to thrive in a wide range of environments. Weighing between 55–79 pounds and standing about the size of a large turkey, these creatures are a common sight in the wild.

They are frequently hunted by local hunters, as their flesh provides a reliable source of meat, and their hides can be worked into leather. Despite their usefulness, Oviraptors are difficult to catch; they are extremely skittish and will bolt at high speed if a predator—or adventurer—comes too close.
