Preform a timed button press during a weapon's reload sequence to decrease the remaining reload time.
Inspired by the mechanic featured in Gears of War, Sniper Elite, and more.
Supports any 1st/3rd person reload animation.
Can be integrated as a perk, trait, or always active, see INTEGRATION section below.
HOW IT WORKS
New UI element will display during a weapon's reload sequence.
Displays a timeline of the reload and Sweet Spot when Active Reloading will be successful.
Sweet Spot size is determined by your equipped weapon skill.
Sweet Spot position is determined by your current Agility.
Press the assigned control (Default: Reload) at any point during a reload to attempt an Active Reload.
Success ✓: Decreases remaining reload time.
Failure ✗: Increases remaining reload time & jams weapon.
Configurable via MCM Extender:
GENERAL
Set success/failure reload speed multipliers.
Play jam animation after failing an Active Reload.
CONTROLS
Set Active Reload control: Reload | Attack | Aim
INTERFACE
Set UI element style, size, and position.
Set Default, Success, and Failure color schemes.
INTEGRATION
Controls how the active reloading mechanic is added to the game:
Scriptrunner Version
> Always active (Hides Rapid Reload perk)
> Replace Rapid Reload perk with Active Reload perk
Note: Always replaces the Rapid Reload perk functionality.
Plugin Version
> Always active
> Replace Rapid Reload perk with Active Reload perk
> Add new Active Reload perk
> Add new Active Reload trait
