What?

Game is buggy. Nothing new. This mod tackles alpha rendering issues.

Mod currently fixes:

  1. Disintegration animations breaking when using Transparency Multisampling.
  2. Transparency Multisampling being forced on alpha tested surfaces despite not using alpha blending.
  3. Particles being very faint and transparent when using Transparency Multisampling.
  4. No_Transparency_Multisampling shader flag not working.
  5. Alpha blending carrying over into meshes that don't have it enabled - game doesn't reset the previous render state.
  6. Intel GPUs being unable to use Transparency Multisampling.

Additionally, mod adds:

  1. A way to force alpha animations while using only alpha testing - use No_Fade flag for this.
  2. In vanilla game would automatically force blending once fAlpha value was lower than 1.

What this mod doesn't do (yet):

  1. Fix blending of multiple alpha blended objects.
  2. Most notably hair disappearing underwater.

What this mod will never do:

  1. Make ENB work.
  2. Get rid of dithering on DXVK - Driver exclusive formats used for transparency MSAA don't exist in Vulkan.
  3. Make you happy.

Additional To Do:

  1. Run SMAA or FXAA pass on alpha tested textures. Not really needed, they look fine as it is.

  1. Karut and Stewie for helping with ASM.
  2. MadAce aka KiCHo666 for making me aware of the broken state of animated alpha and providing mesh to hehe, test.
  3. (Get it, it was an issue regarding alpha testing haha. Kill me)
  4. Trooper aka AVeryUncreativeName for crash testing.
