Instantly view notes and play holotapes when you pick them up - without opening your Pip-Boy.

When you pick up a note or holotape, a prompt appears letting you press a key to immediately read/listen to it. Text notes display in a popup, holotapes start playing right away. Long notes are truncated with an option to open the full note in your Pip-Boy.

Install/uninstall at any time

Works with all modded notes/holotapes and TTW.

Configuration

All settings are in config\QuickReadNoteNVSE.ini

iTimeoutMS

Time in milliseconds the prompt remains active after picking up a note

Default: 5000

Set higher if you want more time to decide

iControlID

Which control triggers the quick view

Default: 6 (Aim/Block)

iMaxNoteLength

Maximum lines to display before truncating

Default: 0 (auto-calculate based on screen resolution)

Set manually if the auto-detection doesn't suit your display
